Before your next game.
Do I need an account to keep score?
No. The current app’s scoring and saved history work without a Candle Count account. Online usernames and the clubhouse are in development.
Why doesn’t my alley appear automatically?
Check that Candle Count has permission to use your location in your device’s Settings. Location accuracy and the alley’s catalog entry can affect a match. You can also choose an alley manually. Email us the alley name and address if a listing needs a correction.
Does “location verified” mean staff checked my score?
No. Location verification is a GPS check. Alley staff approval of a 200+ score is a separate feature in development.
Can I record a score from paper or an alley’s scoring system?
Yes. Use the app’s score-logging option to enter a completed score. A total recorded this way does not include ball-by-ball details.
I entered the wrong number. Can I fix it?
Use Undo while scoring, then enter the correct roll. For an issue with a saved game, email support with the app version and a description of the problem.
Where are Quick Start, Lifer, and usernames?
The website previews these upcoming features. They are not in the current App Store release. Check the App Store’s version notes for what is available on your device.
What happens to my existing games in the new update?
The update is designed to preserve your existing saved games. Old totals stay totals-only when individual balls were never recorded. Online account features will not automatically upload your history.
FOR ALLEY OWNERS & STAFF

Send your alley’s name, address, website, Instagram handle, logo, and requested promotional text. Let us know if you are correcting an existing listing.
The upcoming verification program will give designated staff access to review submitted 200+ games for their alley. Staff accounts are assigned by Candle Count; regular players cannot grant themselves review access.
